Just under two months ago, I purchased my first “real” camera… a Canon Rebel T2i. Oh, how I love this camera! I have always been passionate about photography and finally decided to make the move and invest in something more than a “point and shoot” auto-focus pocket-style camera. I am so glad I did… no regrets here. When looking back at my childhood, I have to laugh… whenever my mother would take the camera film in to be developed, I would always get in trouble. With all the turmoil and violence occurring throughout the world currently, I decided it was time for a “feel good” posting.  Here is a story of the love between a father and his two sons.

In 1965, Herb Younger purchased a new 1965 Chevy Impala SS.  This car was his baby.  For twenty years, he cared for this car and kept it in pristine condition.  However, when it was time for his two sons to go to college, Herb’s love for his sons was more important than the Impala so he sold the car to help pay for his sons’ tuition. Woman miscarries baby after being kicked and sprayed at #occupyseattle 1

A woman who was pepper sprayed during during a raid on Occupy Seattle last week is blaming police after she miscarried Sunday.

Jennifer Fox, 19, told The Stranger that she had been with the Occupy protests since they started in Westlake Park. She said she was homeless and three months pregnant, but felt the need to join activists during their march last Tuesday. More…
