McDonald’s very foolishly ran a radio ad in the midwest which said, “Trying a brand new menu item at McDonald’s isn’t risky. You know what’s risky… petting a stray pit bull…” Naturally, this created an outburst from the owners of pit bulls, formally known as American Staffordshire Terrier or the Stafforshire Bull Terrier in England. Especially angry, and rightly so, are those owners which rescued a stray or an abandoned pit.
If you did not watch the game, like me, but would like to check out the commercials, here is a site where they’re all listed and you may pick and choose what you would like to see. I set my DVR so I could watch and forward through both to watch the game (cut out all the other hype and halftime show) and, of course, the ads. You may also click on the snapshot at the bottom of this post to check out this site.
I would like to share with you a few excerpts from probably the most moving post I have ever read anywhere either on the internet or on paper.
When I was tormenting myself last night with having to choose only fifteen blogs to award the Versatile Blogger Award to, there was a specific post on V Lyn’s site, “Drayton’s Gazette” that I specifically wanted to honor. But for some reason, I just could not find it. I swear I looked at every post of V’s she published over the past two months and it just was not there. So today, I asked if she had removed it. This post is something that is very personal to her, and very traumatic to any young child – or adult woman for that matter. So I thought she may have decided to keep it to herself.
Superbowl Sunday also means Superbowl Commercials. Thought I would take a trip down memory lane and searched for the Superbowl Ads from the past. And a few coming up during the game today. This was not an easy task considering many of the videos have been removed, or accounts closed.
But first, here are a few Superbowl Commercials which were banned and never shown on TV.
Well, the time has come to pass this on. I have only procrastinated for nearly a month now. But in all fairness to myself, during this past month I found and subbed several wonderful sites which many are included in my list of sites I am awarding.
On January 7, 2012, Chris from Word Play awarded me with the Versatile Blogger Award (Now please, you MUST CLICK HERE before continuing). Sincerely… thank you, Chris. I am both honored and humbled – and honestly not really sure why you choose me, but you did so now it is time for me to carry on this award.
