It appears that Virgina Senator McDougle’s (R) support for trans-vaginal ultrasound legislation has not gone over too well with at least a few folks, judging from the raunchy comments being left on his Facebook page. Staff has caught wind of the comments and have now deleted them all. But some smart cookie got some nice screen shots before the censoring commenced. Here are a few quotes as well as some screen shots. Some very creative people out there. Kudos to you all!

Recently, George state Representative Terry England told a story that “Life gives us many experiences.” England went on to explain, “I’ve had the experience of delivering calves, dead and alive — delivering pigs, dead and alive. … It breaks our hearts to see those animals not make it.”
March Madness is upon us. I wait for the NCAA’s every year, and once it is over, I go through serious withdrawals until next year. I have completed my picks – but this year was quite different for me… I did a lot of guessing. My bracket is below.
Hands down the most epic time-lapse footage of circling the earth as recorded on the International Space Station you will see. Includes some magnificent Aurora Australis sequences, and personally, I love seeing the lightning flashes in the clouds.
Happy! Oh so very happy!

Eugenics was a very popular and successful program which occurred in the early 20th century – and was most definitely not covered in my high school history book or class. The basic premise was to sterilize the “feeble-minded” in order to force Darwin’s Theory, “Survival of the Fittest” upon society. Additionally, American studies were actually the originator of the purification of the Aryan race strongly supported by Hitler.
Earlier in 2011, a Stockton CA student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. Michael Davis is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD. His mother says it has led to fights at school.
Doesn’t seem too out of the ordinary when considering that we are seeing a growing amount of violence from students, right? Well, there is one thing about Michael I have not mentioned yet…
One year ago on March 6, 2011, a trifecta of disasters hit Japan. First was a 9.0 earthquake which caused a massive tsunami to hit the shore. A tsunami so large that the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant suffered a triple meltdown. A combination of all three killed as many as 20,000 people, left tens of thousands of homes and businesses in ruins, and turned that area of Japan into a ghost town.
George Carlin – may he rest in peace – possessed a unique way of making fun of the stupidity of mankind by combining wisdom with humor. Very blunt and straight to the point, Carlin’s combination of extraordinary intelligence AND common sense had a way of waking up even the most slumbering mind. Although Carlin may be gone in physical presence, his memory lives on.
Some of his better quotes and words of wisdom (like he had any that were bad?):
Since I posted earlier about “Dog,” the motorcycle riding dog, I figured I should give some equal time to our feline friends as well.
Here are some hilarious animated gif’s of cats just being cats. The third one down is my favorite. And what’s the deal about cats standing up like they are here on the hind legs? I don’t recall ever seeing any of my cats doing this.
This dog, whose name is “Dog,” is incredibly amazing! Literally rides behind his master, Gary Miller, on his motorcycle, proudly sporting his goggles and hangs on to Gary “like a backpack.” I know none of my dogs would every be able to accomplish anything like this, plus I would be terrified of them jumping off and hurting themself. It is very easy to see that Gary adores Dog and would never risk any injury to his best friend, and feels that Dog does just fine riding shotgun.
Attack of the sperm.
Banksy, London 2011.
A British clothing company known as Madhouse has put a statement on the washing label, immediately underneath the washing instructions such as “Machine wash warm”, that says, ” – OR – GIVE IT TO YOUR WOMAN. IT’S HER JOB.”
Emma Barnett, Digital Media Editor at The Daily Telegraph, tweeted a photo of the label in addition to her shock. Naturally, she received an enormous amount of replies covering the entire spectrum ranging from “lighten up” and “learn how to take a joke” to tweeters who informed Emma they would boycott Madhouse jeans – although many of them had never heard of the company.
Every year the World Press Association gathers in Amsterdam to pick a winning photo for that year. Here are the winners from 1955 through 2011. There is a few exceptions – No contest held in 1959, 1961 and 1970. If you are not familiar with World Press winners they are journalistic photos chosen depicting dramatic life around the globe. Warning – some are graphic and rather disturbing.

Here is a very well done report about the women’s prison in New Mexico. This report briefly covers the dog rescue and training program, Heeling Hearts. I am one of the original volunteers who helped coordinate and set up this program. I was unemployed during that time, which was back in 2007, therefore I was able to volunteer quite a bit of time then. My dear friend, Lyn, is still in charge of and running the program, so I get keep up with her about what is going on with the dogs and the women in the program.
Here is your chance to answer Rush Limbaugh’s question in the cartoon below. Rush says, “I said what I thought, then I apologized when I started losing advertisers.” He then asks, “What does that make me?”
Feel free tell Rush exactly what you think. Venting is good for the soul.
