Right Wing-Nut VA Sen. Ryan McDougle’s Facebook Page Slammed with Transvaginal Comments 18

It appears that Virgina Senator McDougle’s (R) support for trans-vaginal ultrasound legislation has not gone over too well with at least a few folks, judging from the raunchy comments being left on his Facebook page. Staff has caught wind of the comments and have now deleted them all. But some smart cookie got some nice screen shots before the censoring commenced. Here are a few quotes as well as some screen shots. Some very creative people out there. Kudos to you all!

Eugenics | Mandatory Sterilization in the Early 20th Century 13

Eugenics tree

Eugenics was a very popular and successful program which occurred in the early 20th century – and was most definitely not covered in my high school history book or class. The basic premise was to sterilize the “feeble-minded” in order to force Darwin’s Theory, “Survival of the Fittest” upon society. Additionally, American studies were actually the originator of the purification of the Aryan race strongly supported by Hitler.

Student’s Hands and Feet Zip-Tied and Charged with Battery 20

Earlier in 2011, a Stockton CA student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. Michael Davis is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD. His mother says it has led to fights at school.

Doesn’t seem too out of the ordinary when considering that we are seeing a growing amount of violence from students, right? Well, there is one thing about Michael I have not mentioned yet…

Quotes by George Carlin 17

George Carlin – may he rest in peace – possessed a unique way of making fun of the stupidity of mankind by combining wisdom with humor. Very blunt and straight to the point, Carlin’s combination of extraordinary intelligence AND common sense had a way of waking up even the most slumbering mind. Although Carlin may be gone in physical presence, his memory lives on.

Some of his better quotes and words of wisdom (like he had any that were bad?):

Crazy Cats | Animated Gif’s 16

Since I posted earlier about “Dog,” the motorcycle riding dog, I figured I should give some equal time to our feline friends as well.

A Motorcycle-Riding Dog Named, well… Dog! 10

This dog, whose name is “Dog,” is incredibly amazing! Literally rides behind his master, Gary Miller, on his motorcycle, proudly sporting his goggles and hangs on to Gary “like a backpack.” I know none of my dogs would every be able to accomplish anything like this, plus I would be terrified of them jumping off and hurting themself. It is very easy to see that Gary adores Dog and would never risk any injury to his best friend, and feels that Dog does just fine riding shotgun.

Life Inside the CCA Owned New Mexico Women’s Prison 10

Here is a very well done report about the women’s prison in New Mexico. This report briefly covers the dog rescue and training program, Heeling Hearts. I am one of the original volunteers who helped coordinate and set up this program. I was unemployed during that time, which was back in 2007, therefore I was able to volunteer quite a bit of time then. My dear friend, Lyn, is still in charge of and running the program, so I get keep up with her about what is going on with the dogs and the women in the program.
