Find the Lie in the List of Truths about Me 23
Okay, I am jumping aboard The Hobbler’s game “Lie to Me” where I must post 7 things about myself… six of which are true and one being a lie.
You are to determine which is the lie. Now some of you may recognize a few of the truths in my list since I have talked about them before – but that just eliminates a few truths. So you still have to figure out which is the lie.
My Mother Died from Mad Cow Disease in the US in 1986 38
I am so hopping mad, I am only able to see red right now….
I just finished watching Elizabeth Cohen on CNN tell how there has never been a case of a human contracting Mad Cow Disease in the United States. Well, Ms. Cohen is wrong. My mother died of the human form of Mad Cow Disease, otherwise known as Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (aka CJD), in 1986. The only time she had set foot outside of the United States was for a one-week trip to Austria in the late 1970′s. She was born and raised in Indiana, lived for a short period of time in Arizona, and never anywhere abroad.

Dedicated to the governor of Pennsylvania, who suggested that women upset at being forced to have an unnecessary internal ultrasound should ‘close their eyes’, and to the Georgia legislator who wants to outlaw abortion even for a woman carrying a dead fetus because ‘cows and pigs do it all the time’ , and to the gentleman in Wisconsin who wants to outlaw divorce and says that women who are abused by their husbands should just ‘remember th good times’, and… and…. and….
