Yes, atoms. What you see in the video is 100 million times bigger than actual size. The actual device used in the lab that handles and moves the atoms is at -268° Centigrade (-450° Fahrenheit), which helps keep the atoms from moving around. FYI… 0° Kelvin, which is “Absolute Zero” – the point where everything, including molecular levels, freezes – is -273.15°C and -450.67°F. So they are very nearly at Absolute Zero. Remember, normally atoms they’re busy little buggers – always in motion. More…

West, Texas Explosion | Frame by Frame Replay and Photos 5
A bystander, Derrick Hurtt, was filming the fertilizer plant fire after it erupted in West, Texas yesterday, but he got more than he planned. The explosion. This footage has been all over the news so you may very well have seen it. But the news typically stops right after the explosion finishes. What is not seen or heard are his daughters crying out in complete terror that she cannot hear and that she desperately wanting to leave. More…

The Parting Shot for September 30, 2012 | Amazing Illusion of One Face. Profile? Looking at you? 3
This illusion is one of the best I’ve seen. I am still tripping. This Photoshop modified black and white face changes directions. Look at his nose, and you see his profile. Look at his eye, and he is facing you and looking right at you. Better yet, use your hand to cover up the left half, and then move and cover the right half. I’m still trippin’!
Bagelheads | Japan’s Hot Trend of Injecting Saline in Forehead for that “Bagel” Look 8
For the last 20 years Ryoichi ‘Keroppy’ Maeda has been documenting the underground rise in Japanese extreme body modification. Keroppy learned saline infusions in 2003 and brought the idea to Japan in 2007, he has been performing modifications ever since. The ‘Bagelhead’ is currently the hottest body modification, created by injecting medical saline solution into the forehead. The saline solution is injected for two hours and the ‘bagel/donut-head’ look is created by pressing your thumb in the middle of the forehead. Once complete, the modification will last 16-24 hours.
One ‘possum v. five terrified humans and other humorous videos with animals 2
I have found this video to be absolutely hilarious! A opossum snuck into someone’s kitchen, probably for food, and was discovered. But the reaction of the family is what is so priceless. Definitely not staged or fake – which is why I like it so much.

A Horror Film Remix of The Viral Video ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ | Excellent! 6
OMG… this remix is EXCELLENT! I can NOT stop laughing! The original video, Charlie Bit My Finger went viral after it was uploaded five years ago, and it now has over 480 million hits. My opinion, though, I honestly thought it was completely stupid, and rather annoying (the ORIGINAL – not the remix). I almost didn’t check out the horror remix – but being a horror movie fan, I figured what the hell.
And I am so glad I did!

LMAO! Vermont Man Upset Over MJ Arrest – Uses Tractor to Crush 7 Police Cars 14
Roger Pion, 34, from Newport, Vermont, decided one day that he wanted to play “Monster Jam Rally” except that he did not drive a monster truck. Pion stole a 10-1/2-foot-high, Case MX 255 dual wheel tractor and has eight wheels with four 6-foot tandem wheels on the back – and Pion used that tractor to crush seven VT Orleans County police cars. Can we say “anger management”?
“Jetman” Flies with only Rigid Wings and Jetpacks attached to body | Videos 4
The ultimate dream of flight – soaring through the air, with total freedom in all three dimensions, not within a heavy and complicated machine but with only one’s body and sensations – a dream everybody had at least once in their life. “Jetman” made it real.
Reminiscent of the famous superman scene, Yves “Jetman” Rossy has flown in close formation with the Breitling Douglas DC-3 vintage aircraft, giving the passengers on board the unique experience to see the world’s first jet powered man in full flight.
Woman with Fake Boobs Larger than Watermelons – Seriously, she’s a Z-cup 33
What is a Z-cup? A Z-cup is the German XXX Beshine who currently holds the title of “Biggest Breasts in Europe” and though she started her boob odyssey as a humble B cup, she’s now a mind boggling Z-cup, thanks to expander implants which she refills as regularly as she can.
Beshine says that she doesn’t suffer from backache due to a strict program of back strengthening but does struggle to find clothes that fit and, not surprisingly, can no longer sleep on her stomach, though apparently lying on her back or side is still possible.
Shark does backflips just like a dolphin | Video 11
I do not know the story behind this video, but it’s pretty cool to watch. A shark jumps out of the water seven times, and each time does a somersault — just like a dolphin.
One of the guys in the boat is, well, very excited. He yells, “Oh my god” nearly every flip the shark does, and he’s loud. So you may want to turn the volume down a bit – or turn it up so it will sound like he’s right next to you yelling in your ear if you want.
Life Size Hot Wheels Track with a 6-Story Double Loop | Videos 7
This is great! My brothers had Hot Wheels when I was very young. I remember playing with them for hours running the Hot Wheels cars through the double tracked loops. I had wished that either I could shrink down to Hot Wheels size and drive that track, or that there was a real, life-sized track to drive. Apparently some other folks dreamed of real tracks, too, but they didn’t stop at dreaming. They created two real, life-sized tracks with a six-story double-loop. Watch the videos below as the drivers run the Hot Wheels tracks. Some great video angles make you feel as though you are on board.
Alaska Brooks River Brown Bear and Salmon Live Cam 7
Unfortunately I cannot embed this live cam but click HERE to go to the Explore.org site which has the cam running. It’s great! I’m sitting here watching salmon trying to jump up and through the falls and there are nine brown bears that I can see in the camera’s view.
Every year over a hundred Brown Bears descend on a mile long stretch of Brooks River to feast on the largest Sockeye Salmon run in the world.
Aussie Builds Hoverbike | Commute like the Jetsons 8
Ah, yes. Remember the cartoon The Jetsons? The intro shows the family zipping around in their carlike aircraft just the same as we do now in cars, trucks, motorcycles and other types of road transportation. I never imagined that a flight craft would be invented within my lifetime that was small enough and fast enough to be considered as a means of directly from your home to the parking lot at work, or the grocery, or the gym…. And I mean a type of flying “vehicle” that does not need a runway to take off or land, nor require a large amount of space to land (i.e. the blades on a helicopter). Additionally, a creation that also does not necessitate a pilot’s license which costs thousands of dollars of schooling – not to mention having to log enough flight hours to keep a license valid.
Giant Lego Bridge in Germany | Photos 6
Incredible work! Very realistic bridge appears as though it was constructed with giant Lego pieces.
Over the course of 4 weeks, German street artist, Martin Heuwold, aka Megx, used colored panels to transform this bridge by using colorful panels that give people the illusion of seeing real Lego bricks. The bridge is part of debunk train line that was converted in to bicycle and pedestrian path located in Wuppertal, Germany.
Amazing 3D Street Chalk Art 4
I have become completely fascinated in these 3-dimensional pieces of art drawn on sidewalks, walkways, or any large area of pavement. It is nearly impossible to see them as two-dimensional drawings – unless you can view them from another angle. 3D chalk art is created using a projection technique called anamorphosis. When viewed from a particular angle, this technique creates the illusion of 3D – in a most effective way. When viewed from the wrong angle, it looks like crap. I think this is a pretty amazing art form created with only a packet of chalk. From the imagination comes some wonderful things.

TX Tornadoes Toss Semi-Trucks Like Toys | Footage and Photos 4
Incredible footage of semi-trailer trucks literally sucked up in the air and tossed around as though they are match-box toys. Footage from the tornadoes which struck Dallas-Ft Worth on Tuesday. Heavy damage, yet no casualties. Very lucky.
If you have not seen this footage, it is amazing. I am from tornado alley, and my jaw still drops when I watch this. Found a nice HD upload from the CNN coverage, so you can really see nature at work here.
Siku the Polar Bear Cub | LiveCam and International Polar Bear Day 7
When Siku the polar bear cub was introduced to the public late last year, he quickly became an Internet sensation, with his own Web and Facebook pages. But with fame often comes responsibility, and officials at Denmark’s Scandinavian Wildlife Park said Siku would have an important burden to shoulder.
“Siku is going to be an ambassador for polar bears, for global warming,” park director Frank Vigh-Larsen said in December.
Amazing Interactive Site | The Scale of the Universe 10
An absolutely phenomenal interactive site which allows you to zoom in and out, depending upon where you want to start or go, by using the scroll bar. I also found using the left/right buttons work as well. Clicking on any of the objects will provide you with the size of that item. Obviously, these are of an average size.
The Butterly Effect | “The Book of Life” by David Kracov 12
David Kracov’s breathtaking sculpture entitled The Book of Life will really give you butterflies.
The metal sculpture, which stands at around half a metre tall, is a tribute to the extraordinary life of Rabbi Yossi Raichik, director of Charbad’s Children of Chernobyl organisation.
30-story Building Built in 15 days | Time Lapse Video 13
There are many things which we can learn from other countries around the world. Take a look at this building in China, for example. Harnessing manpower like never before, Chinese sustainable building company Broad Group has accomplished the seemingly impossible task of constructing a 30-story hotel in a mere 15 days (360 hours)! The above time-lapse video perfectly illustrates the whirlwind construction that highlights the never-ending possibilities of prefab architecture.
A Sheep-Herding Swedish Bunny 10
I am coming across some very strange stuff today. I suppose I’m taking a bit of a break from politics for a day. Well… maybe. Day is not over yet. I just posted a little while ago about a video game between pigs and humans. And now… a rabbit that herds sheep.
