Canine Agility Trial Photos | Albuquerque NM 10

Ahhhh… finally. I picked through over 700 photos I took at a local agility trial, trashed the bad ones, then picked out some of the better to process (I shoot in raw format) and here they are. I mean, it’s only been nearly three months since I took them…. (sheepish grin)

Now, for those who are not familiar with canine agility, other than having seen it on TV, it is FUN!!! The dogs LOVE it! And should a trainer start a noobie dog and realize the dog is not interested, nor finds any enjoyment, then the trainer ceases agility with that dog. We never force any of our beloved pets into any sport if they’re not loving it. The idea is companionship, fun, and the challenge of the course as well as racing against the clock as well as other dog’s times in the advanced levels.

Memorial Day: In Remembrance of Lex and Dusty, two devoted partners in Iraq 7

The date is March 21, 2007 and I was on the job in Fallujah, Iraq when an enemy fired Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) exploded in our midst. I was blasted to the ground. I’m stunned. My head is ringing and my body feels numb. My eyes can’t quite focus on anything.

My partner is lying next to me severely wounded and bleeding. I move to him and touch him but he’s not responding. I feel sharp pains in my side and back. I’m bleeding but deal with it and concentrate on comforting my partner and protecting him from further harm.

NOTE:  I believe there are two dogs here. It looks like a dog’s muzzle and nose on the belly of the Airedale rather than it’s “you-know”… but I just have not been able to figure this one out. If there are two, where are the other four legs? Sure a couple may be hidden behind, but all four? That and/or Photoshop may have helped hide some legs.  Thoughts???

After publishing thought… the more I look at it, I am pretty sure I can see some Photoshop editing where at least one leg may have been. I also think the boom box was added in after the fact, too. Well, regardless, I love this image and kudos to the creator!

Dog Grabs Video Camera and Films his Owners Trying to Catch Him 7

This is too funny. When video recording their pet Spaniel, the owners set the camera down on the floor. Why, I have no clue. But their pooch decided that he wanted his shot at doing some filming and picks it up in his mouth. Fortunately, camera-dog managed to pick up the camera and hold it in just the right position so you see a forward shot of him running around the house playing keep away, and catch glimpses of humans attempting to catch camera-dog.

Le parfum d’un loup (The scent of a wolf) 4

A fellow Facebook friend posted this earlier today. He runs a wolf and wolf-hybrid rescue out on the east coast. I thought it was so funny that I had to share. In working with dog rescue, there are times I can completely identify.

LMAO…you know it might be time for a shower when you smell wolf and look around for one and realize..its you..!!!! I gotta find some water…lol!!!

Sometimes the right song makes all the difference | Cat Fail Video 23

I cannot stop laughing nor watching the Chive’s version of this “cat jump fail” video.

The original video was uploaded in Japan on Dec. 16, 2011, without any music (shown below). It now has over 4 million hits on it. Title translate (with Google Translator) as “Debacle diving cat.”

This is Motley News’ 1,000th Post! Time to Celebrate with Funnies! 24

Ayup, this is my one-thousandth post. I may be a political junkie, and definitely pro-women’s rights, but I also love a good laugh from time-to-time. Well, actually all the time. Therefore, what better way to celebrate my 1,000th post but with a bunch of funny photos, some with captions, some with my comments above the photo, and a few animated gif’s thrown in there.

An absolutely tear-jerking, feel-good, heart-warming story about Roosevelt the rescued Border Collie dog who was born with malformed front legs but happily uses a unique front-wheeled cart to scoot around. He was named after former President Franklin D. Roosevelt who used a wheelchair after contracting polio.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot | A Challenge 20

In case you didn’t figure that out, “whiskey, tango and foxtrot” are from the NATO Alphabet, aka Spelling Alphabet, for WTF…

In cleaning out my Spam folder, I came across this following piece of Spam:

“After having gained a cat because of a freak affair concerning a homogenized vat of mayonnaise your ramblings has made me to see the brighter side of life, you rock”
