I found this Young Republicans ad floating around the internet. This ad was circulated for Labor Day in 1956 and clearly supports and encourages labor unions.
Talk about a different Republican Party these days….

When I heard that portion of the ad put out by the Romney team, I truly thought I was going to wet my pants from laughing so hard. Who was Romney going announce next as his ally… Daddy Warbucks? Come on, now… Lee Iacocca??? I haven’t heard that name in the news for several years now. That is a name associated with the Ronald Reagan era. Come ON Mittens. Iacocca is so passé. At least pick some swag from this decade.
(Before I go any further I have to state my disclaimer: Lee Iacocca is NOT dead. He is now 88.)

I am not sure what is up with this guy, but he definitely has a penchant for slightly morbid video commercials. Previously he has released a bunny being shot and a goldfish dying in open air.
The modus operandi of these videos is to use graphic metaphors of death and animals, narrated by a young girl to advance a conservative viewpoint. This one, I feel, goes over the edge of proper decorum by a politician.
