Wow. It’s been several months since I’ve posted dog and cat humor. Time sure flies, and my doggie-funnies folder needs to be thinned out a little bit. So here goes…. More…
Today Mitt Romney
talked had some turkey – a Presidential Turkey lunch that is – with President Obama. The two previous rivals for the top seat in the White House had their lunch together in a private dining room adjacent to the Oval Office.
What do you think they said to one another… or more likely, thought. Here are some funny captions which I found today on Facebook. Plus I have added a few of my own.
Recently a human has discovered a long hidden set of rules passed on from one cat to the next. This rare discovery answers the frequently asked question, “Why did my cat do that?” Now for the first time ever, the “cat’s rules” are now published and available for all human use. Study and learn the ways of the house cat. The mysteries of their behavior will all start to make sense.
When an athlete is caught up in the moment, the last thing they think about is the look on their face. Lucky for them, cameras are always on the sidelines ready to take a photo to capture that moment for the athlete.
Here are some of the better moments forever caught and frozen in time.
Anyone who was born in the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s… We are the last generation who played in the street. We are the 1st who played video games, the last to record songs off the radio on a cassette tape. We walked over a mile with no worries of being taken. We learned how to program the VCR before anyone else. We played from Atari to Nintendo. We are the generation of Tom and Jerry, Looney Toons, and Captain Kangaroo. We traveled in cars without seat belts or air bags; lived without cell phones. We did not have flat screen TVs or surround sound – in fact, we had to get up and walk over to the TV to change the station. iPods, the internet, computers, Facebook and Twitter were inconceivable. But nevertheless – WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!
I must admit, in years past, especially in youth through young adult, Memorial Day was nothing more than a three-day weekend, barbeques, picnics and fun. And it still is… to an extent. For me, this year Memorial Day just feels different. I am opposed to war. Especially the one in Afghanistan right now. It seems as though we have lost the reason as to why our troops are there. How is our
invasion presence helping protect America? Is that not what our military is for? To protect our country? It seems to have evolved into something else. Personally, I think the War on Terrorism is nothing more than a scare tactic being used on the US citizens in order to justify being in Afghanistan. But this post is about Memorial Day, so with that I will move on.
Ayup, this is my one-thousandth post. I may be a political junkie, and definitely pro-women’s rights, but I also love a good laugh from time-to-time. Well, actually all the time. Therefore, what better way to celebrate my 1,000th post but with a bunch of funny photos, some with captions, some with my comments above the photo, and a few animated gif’s thrown in there.
