In another attempt by the GOP to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act, House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell released a joint statement to the Associated Press – and I’m sure they didn’t realize what they actually said. After all, they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. More…

Here is one of my favorite politicians to make fun of, Michele Bachmann. I did miss her when she pulled out of the presidential election, but Romney filled in rather nicely. More…
The Fiscal Cliff. Are you just as tired as I am of hearing this in the news? Boehner is making even a bigger ass out of himself than ever before. And then has the stupidity to bring in a list of demands which include the same crap that Romney carried on his presidential ticket — which the majority of the voters made clear they did NOT like.
The Republican Record of bills put forth by Obama and the Democratic Party that were designed to help the majority of people in our country as well as small business owners:
Three pickup trucks of TransCanada’s Keystone XL construction workers are arriving on Highway 2088 outside Winnsboro, Texas. Their purpose? Tear down the trees, clear the brush, flatten the land, and erect a portion of the southern section of the Keystone XL pipeline. This pipeline, if completed, will bring the tar sands from Canada down to the Houston area where it will be refined…. then sold to China and other countries. The Canadian Tar Sands is considered to be the most destructive project on Earth.
All the while the corporate leaders and their lobbyists are continually telling the people that the Keystone XL will provide millions of jobs and stock the United States with oil for many decades to come.
At Tuesday’s Republican National Convention, the Republican Party once again played foul against their own party members and it nearly turned into a fight. The disruption was over the rules process that dictates how delegates are apportioned in each state. Ron Paul may not have done very well in the primaries at the ballot boxes, but his supporters have been working diligently behind the scenes to gather delegates. This apparently pissed of Boehner and he, along with the other dictators, immediately rewrote the rules right in front of everyone’s eyes. Now, when there is a statewide popular vote (primaries), if the result is not winner-take-all, each candidate must get delegates in proportion to their percentage of the popular vote. Therefore with Paul not winning with any popular votes, he is unable to seat his delegates.
My oh my…. The Republican Party is definitely not the same anymore. In fact, it is looking more like a dictatorship than a democracy. Point in case, seventeen Ron Paul delegates were disqualified because they would not sign an affidavit that “under the pain and penalty of perjury” they will vote for Mitt Romney at the Republican National Convention.
This type of affidavit has never been present in the past, and an affidavit that is signed for doing something in the future is not legal. The courts will never support it. Here is the full wording:
“Under President Obama, Gas Prices Have Soared….”
“The Keystone XL Energy Pipeline is a proposed crude oil pipeline that is 36 inches in diameter and 1,700 miles long that would extend from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf Coast of the United States. The construction of the pipeline would create more than 20,000 direct jobs and 118,000 indirect jobs while battling the high cost of gas….”
These are only a few of the lies being told by Speaker of the House John Boehner, as well as Mitt Romney and the Republican Party as a whole. I am sure there are plenty of Democrats, too, but I it appears as though the GOP has an specific agenda in mind…. All you have to do is remember what Mitch McConnell said about making sure Obama is a one-term president. Our Congress has the power within their grasp to turn our economy around and create more jobs. But will they? No they will not. We are all martyrs to them simply and purely because they will not purposely do ANYTHING which will make President Obama look good.
