VENT-TIME! Reactions to proposed gun laws. Plus sarcastic gun-related memes and political cartoons. 4

It’s time for this. I’ve hit overload and about to blow a gasket. When I reference “you” in this rant, “you” is directed to the people who are completely against any new gun laws and regulations who are raising a big stink.  More…

Michele Bachmann declares Obamacare is killing people – Is she trying to win an Emmy with this performance? 13

Emmy Category: Political Figures who show they are just not the sharpest knife in the drawer

Here is one of my favorite politicians to make fun of, Michele Bachmann. I did miss her when she pulled out of the presidential election, but Romney filled in rather nicely.   More…

Today a Norman Rockwell painting came back to life but represented Obama’s girls this time. Another sad day in America. 28

Unless you live under a rock, today is the day the NRA stooped to an all time low, lower-than-maggots-on-a-rotting-carcus-low, and brought a taboo subject into this hateful, political war… Obama’s children. It has been an unwritten rule that ALL children of the First Families are off limits to the press and political bullshit. This only goes to show just how little the NRA cares or respects people. All they care about are selling their guns. Their “2nd Amendment Rights” – which are NOT nor NEVER have been threatened… unless you’re a thug, a felon, or a threat. Perfect example, the state of Tennessee has suspended the handgun carry permit of James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, who recently said he would “start killing people” should President Obama take executive action on gun control.    More…

Anonymous Claims to Have Hacked into Karl Rove, ORCA Thus Stopping Vote-Switching 87

As expected, any Romney supporter (with heavy financing), was shocked at the final outcome from November 6th, the night President Obama retained his seat. We have all heard the whining, crying, finger-pointing, foul, and so on and so on. But there were a couple of items which stood out more than others.

We all know that Karl Rove flipped out on FOX News when they announced Obama won Ohio. The video is below if you haven’t seen it. Basically, Rove just could NOT understand what was happening, which is what I expected. Although he did have a very shocked “the sun just rose in the west” look on his face, and that is what surprised me. Even more shocking was hearing many top supporters and chiefs cry that Romney was supposed to win with a landslide. That is NOT what the polls had been showing the entire time.

Obama Wins Second Term 13

All I want to say is thank goodness. It’s over. I don’t have to move to Canada now. Obama over Romney via Electoral College. Obama ahead in popular vote… but just barely. Numbers not yet final. All the news sites, major and independents, are all posting the results, so I’m not going to here. They’re not final anyway.

I’m also very happy to get Romney’s face off my TV and computer monitor. He’s been great blogging material, but he has wore out his welcome. Time to go back to regular news. I do wonder – and hope – if he’ll be audited for tax evasion….

Romney is supported by Lee Iacocca? I thought Iacocca was dead… 7

Lee Iacocca. From his website.

When I heard that portion of the ad put out by the Romney team, I truly thought I was going to wet my pants from laughing so hard. Who was Romney going announce next as his ally… Daddy Warbucks? Come on, now… Lee Iacocca??? I haven’t heard that name in the news for several years now. That is a name associated with the Ronald Reagan era. Come ON Mittens. Iacocca is so passé. At least pick some swag from this decade.

(Before I go any further I have to state my disclaimer: Lee Iacocca is NOT dead. He is now 88.)

The Debate of the Veeps 2012 17

Just finished watching the Vice Presidential debate with VP Joe Biden and Governor Paul Ryan, and overall it was pretty decent. Ryan definitely showed more maturity than Romney did last week. Ryan didn’t throw tantrums nor demand to have both the first AND last word. Overall, Ryan just “was.”

During the first half, they were running neck-in-neck. But just past the halfway point, Biden took the lead. The one main difference I saw between the two was that Biden showed passion. Passion for our country and for our people. Although I must say that I did not care for Biden’s over usage of smiling and chuckling early on. Ryan, on the other hand, was stale and did nothing more than regurgitate what we have been hearing for months now. At least he did stick to the Romney/Ryan script. LOL… what is considered their script with so many flip-flops? Whatever viewpoint has been stated the most (Law of Averages).

Mr. Etch-a-Sketch Strikes Again 10

As are most people who are Obama supporters or anti-Romney supporters, last night was a shock for all of us. Many thought his performance was spot on, and I saw him trying to maintain the high level of integrity he possesses by refusing to lower himself to Romney’s level.

However, they are not running for president of the Debate Club and I wish Obama had stepped out of his normal respectable self and just blasted Romney with his own shit. I have been stewing over this debate ever since last night. Listened to talk radio, the news, and have been absorbed with trying to define what happened last night. I have even read through most of the transcript several times. There does appear to be a point that President Obama encountered relatively early on that he was not expecting – and that has never happened to this degree in history….

Samuel L. Jackson says to “Wake the F**K Up” (NSFW) 14

First off, thank you Phil, aka “egg sucking pup.” This is a great video of a little girl who is more aware of the consequences of Romney as president than any of the other members in her family who are all older then she is. Her parents, her frisky grandparents, big brother, and big sis.

Hey, Right Wing-Nuts! It’s not the “47%” number that pissed everyone off… 18

Yeah, I created this….

Mitt Romney’s famous last words as a Republican presidential candidate…

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.”

… and then he fell on his face.

The people of the U.S. are nothing more than Boehner’s and the GOP’s martyrs 10

“Nowhere to be found in President Obama’s 54-minute speech this afternoon was a new idea, proposal, or plan to fix our economy….”

“Under President Obama, Gas Prices Have Soared….”

“The Keystone XL Energy Pipeline is a proposed crude oil pipeline that is 36 inches in diameter and 1,700 miles long that would extend from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf Coast of the United States. The construction of the pipeline would create more than 20,000 direct jobs and 118,000 indirect jobs while battling the high cost of gas….”

These are only a few of the lies being told by Speaker of the House John Boehner, as well as Mitt Romney and the Republican Party as a whole. I am sure there are plenty of Democrats, too, but I it appears as though the GOP has an specific agenda in mind…. All you have to do is remember what Mitch McConnell said about making sure Obama is a one-term president. Our Congress has the power within their grasp to turn our economy around and create more jobs. But will they? No they will not. We are all martyrs to them simply and purely because they will not purposely do ANYTHING which will make President Obama look good.

Today is a good day in America. Obama (finally) supports gay marriage. 12

Yesterday, after North Carolina passed Amendment One, which no longer allows civil unions and was created specifically to target same-sex unions, I posted that it was a sad day in America – which it was. To be perfectly honest, I expected that to happen. After all, North Carolina is part of the Bible Belt where people believe the text in the bible overrides our Constitution – even though many Christians, especially in the Bible Belt, pick and choose what they wish to force on others. After all, in the bible, it is permissible to own slaves as well as sell your own daughter. I feel I have made my point here.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is what is commonly known as the “Prom of Washington DC,” and was held last night at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. Here are a few samples of the jokes that President Obama shared with everyone last night, followed by the full video of Obama’s stand up comedy. Additionally, the full transcript of the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner is below the video.

To Those in Wisconsin who Support SB 507 about Single Parents 6

I recently posted about Wisconsin State Bill 507 which will list single parents as a factor to child abuse and neglect. Then I came across this photo last night on the internet and thought that this would be a very good reminder to those supporting SB 507 – that President Obama and former President Clinton were both raised by single mothers.

Will The Real Mitt Romney Please Stand Up 27

What an absolutely incredible video! An enormous variety of clips primarily of Mitt Romney, with a guest appearance by President Obama, all cut and edited to headline Mitt rapping away. Featuring an Eminem background rap beat from the song “The Real Slim Shady“. If you do not like rap, or even totally disdain rap, no worries here. It is just a quiet, steady beat to provide the momentum of spoken speech.

President Obama’s March Madness NCAA Full Bracket Picks 6

Today, President Obama revealed his picks for this year’s bracket for the NCAA basketball tournament. His Final Four are too “safe” for my taste, although the rest of his picks are not bad. Obama’s bracket is shown further down this posting. For his Final Four, Obama chose:

“President Obama is a Snob,” According to Santorum 31

Caricature by DonkeyHotey, Flickr

Saturday morning, GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum once again attacked President Barack Obama on wanting students to go to college, calling the president a “snob” on the campaign trail in Troy, Michigan.

“Oh, I understand why he wants you to go to college… he wants to remake you in his image.”

Let me get this straight, Santorum… if our children go to college, you are saying that they will all turn into a million mini-Obama’s? And you think Obama is a snob for only wanting a better life for our children? Are you smoking wacky-weed?

Obama Spanks Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) for Threatening to Obstruct 21

Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) is one of the most destructive Senators on Capitol Hill. He thinks everything is unconstitutional, despite what the Supreme Court has ruled.

Highlights of Obama’s State of the Union Address 7

This year, thanks to Huffington Post publishing Obama’s entire speech on line, I was able to read while listening to the President speak. This helped the words sink in more clearly – and, for the most part, I liked what I heard. For the most part. Simply because I am a Democrat does not necessarily mean I will agree with everything the President had to say. His speech was encouraging and very refreshing to hear, especially after we have all been witnessing the deterioration of our country.

Obama began by honoring the enlisted and veterans by saying,

FACTS About The State Of The Union 7

Tonight, President Barack Obama will deliver his third State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress. The Republican response will be given by Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. Before you watch the speeches, get the facts:

• The top 1 percent take home 24 percent of the nation’s income, up from about 9 percent in 1976. [Source]

• Private sector job creation under Obama in 2011 was larger than seven out of the eight years Bush was president. [Source]

Keystone XL DENIED! Obama Threatened by Oil Companies 7

The Keystone XL pipeline was denied today by Obama – at least for now. TransCanada will be allowed to refile. This is hailed as a huge victory by those opposed to the pipeline, and I am sure the earth, environment and wildlife appreciate this as well.

I checked out #keystone on Twitter a while ago and just happened to catch Boehners tweet that Obama is killing thousands of jobs. Well, horse hockies! Do people really buy this line of crap? And as if this is the only source of jobs available in this country? First of all, bring back all our jobs that are now overseas – such as the 200,000 jobs displaced to China via Wal-Mart. This alone will well exceed Boehners over-inflated amount of jobs from the Keystone XL pipeline. I just bet that ol’ Sam Walton is turning over in his grave since he did found his company on the belief of all Made in the USA products – then his money-grubbing children changed all that. What about a combination of American companies, not just Wal-Mart? The Economic Policy Institute, a Washington think tank, says American companies have created 1.4 million jobs overseas in 2010. More…
