… rather unnerving….
Well, I’ve been gathering these for a while now. Time to post these photos, cartoon, images, etc. which are all politically based. More…
This is great! Humorous, yet ironically true. FYI… this is also a test post using my Android tablet. Using a computer is much easier, for sure. But it is do-able with a tablet. I wish there were arrows available to use to move the cursor around. Sure it is easy to tap and place the cursor, but often hard to place it precisely. Especially if my tap ends up being just one letter off. Anyway, I got a good chuckle out of this.
Ha! Saw this today making it’s round on the virtual waves. Romika is a shoe company out of Germany.
As we all know, The Onion is a site which only writes comedy which is typically satirical in nature, and will include any and every topic in the news. Politics, sports, entertainment, you name it, they’ll write it. Sometimes, though, an article may be so well written by including the facts of a newsworthy event that sometimes it is difficult to tell if it is actual or satire. In fact, last February, Republican House Rep. John Fleming of Louisiana thought an article was real that was posted to the Onion’s website on May 18, 2011 that headlined, “Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex.” Fleming went on a rant on his Facebook page – until someone informed him that the Onion is farce. He looked like a complete fool. Honestly, that article was too satirical to have been confused with reality. Fleming so wanted it to be true that he thought it was.
I have to admit, the one good thing about these two is that they are constantly giving everyone excellent joke and/or spoof material. Especially when Mitt Romney went to England – the British papers and tabloids had a field day! The cover page of a newspaper called him, “Mitt the Twit”! It doesn’t get any better than that. Still, Romney is always saying the most absurd things – almost like a child sometimes.
Here are a couple of videos from a show called “Totally Biased” and they are hilarious – and I mean ROTFLMFAO!
The first video, “Todd Man Out,” is about Todd Akin and his moronic comment that women’s bodies shut down ovulation during rape.
The second video, “Tutors Without Borders,” is targeting those people who are Obama-haters and have their signs to prove it. Problem is, they can’t spell! Sounds like the Tea Party to me. And in honor of this video, I have included some photos of signs with misspelled words, and signs with completely the wrong word used.
Henry Rollins (born 13 February 1961) is an American spoken word artist, writer, journalist, publisher, actor, radio DJ, activist and former singer-songwriter. After performing for the short-lived Washington D.C.-based band State of Alert in 1980, Rollins fronted the California hardcore punk band Black Flag from August 1981 until mid-1986.
Imagine… George Carlin as President of the United States. Every right-winger would have a heart attack, and every liberal, or semi-liberal, and probably a fair amount of those who are neutral, would all be dancing the “happy dance.” Or dancing just like Obama did which the SCOTUS announced that the Affordable Health Care Act was not unconstitutional…
I know I would be doing this dance…. Now, I am a liberal registered as a Democrat and a supporter of Obama – even though he has done a few things I do not care for. But sometimes a leader needs to go to extremes and basically say “F-you” to those in your way is what needs to be done, and that you’re tired of their bullshit. Carlin would most definitely tell people like Boehner to kiss his ass….
The actors Kate Beckinsale, Judy Greer and Andrea Savage have filmed a video for Funny or Die to speak for the millions of women who want Republicans to make decisions about their vaginas for them on issues like the availability of contraception and mandatory ultrasounds for pregnant women seeking abortions. “Way, way deep, up there in my vagina,” Greer says.
Here are a couple short commercial parodies about our countries favorite Presidential Candidate joke… Mitt Romney.
First, we have “It’s Mittens Time.” Rather than grab that Miller beer after a hard day of firing people, sit down with ol’ Mitt and enjoy a cold-hearted Mitten Beer, brought to you by Bain’s Brewing Company in Laid-off, Wisconsin:
Came across this list on Addicting Info listing 33 items that distinguish if you are a liberal or not. So I thought I would turn this into a poll…. and have a little bit of fun with it. But I only did 15 questions… 33 is a bit much. The results will tally and show after you answer each question. Of course, this is completely anonymous. Great thing about this poll is if you don’t like the options, then simply write in your own answer. Oh, yeah… I will publish any unique answers sometime next week probably. If you want a link back, make sure to leave your site name or user name (yes, El Guapo… I’m stealing this idea from you. Thanks!)
I just could not help myself. Really, I couldn’t. This photo and caption simply deserves a post all to itself. Here we have the former President Clinton, his wife Hillary, and their dog, Buddy… er, I mean, Monica. (Sadly, Buddy died a year after President Clinton’s term ended after being a hit by a car near the President’s New York home.)
Another “Found on the Internet” photo. Here we have Mitt Romney standing on a chair speaking to the gathered crowd. The chair is a bit small and I’m sure unsturdy so a man is kindly holding it steady for him. But the caption someone put in this photo is choice!
Sounds like political satire, right? Not in this case. I know many people are anti-Facebook for several reasons. But I have found Facebook to be beneficial, especially with keeping up in the news. I am careful as to who I friend and not afraid to “unfriend” someone if their main purpose is to be an asshole. But I love it as a one-stop source for my news. I “Like” many legitimate pages, and last night, this first image below, created by Tracy Knauss, came across Keith Olbermann’s page.
With all the recent news of the insanity spreading like a viral disease throughout our country, the War on Women has begun. I have always seen and believed that there are some rather ignorant people in both of our parties, but this year is much different. The Republican Party wins hands down. Bills are erupting all over the country, states ticking off one-by-one with their own bill which in some manner violates women’s rights.
Well, here it is. Super Tuesday has finally arrived. This has been one of the most interesting primaries in history. I often feel as though I am watching an old reel of The Three Stooges, while at the same time trying to decide which person would best fill the shoes as POTUS. And boy, oh boy… am I having a tough time with that one. I keep having this visual scene playing in my head that I just cannot shake….
Yesterday, Don in Massachusetts posted a political cartoon which shows Dana Carvey’s “Church Lady” character on TV, and the TV viewer in the cartoon thought he was watching Rick Santorum. Well… I thought I would take this one step further in Photoshop….
I present to you, Rick Santorum as the Church Lady from Saturday Night Live:
Now, first of all, this is a satirical post from the website Free Wood Post. However, after this article went viral, so many people questioned it’s validity that snopes even researched and posted that it, “…is not something actually uttered by Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum….” Although this is hilarious, it is also very sad that we have a man running for the GOP POTUS candidacy who is so off the chain, that so many citizens actually thought it may by true!
