Should voters be the ones to determine whether or not the Members of Congress receive a raise? This is something I have been mulling over for a while, and I do firmly believe we should. After all, Congress works for the people. Excluding self-employed and small business owners, how many jobs have you held where you got to determine your own raise each year? Come on, hold your hands up high in the air so I can see them! What? No hands? None of you have had the luxury of setting your new salary? More…

Homeless Students Reaches One Million in Numbers 7
According to a report from the Department of Education, the number of homeless students in the U.S. topped one million for the first time during the 2010-2011 school year. The number includes students enrolled in public preschool through 12th grade, and as the Orlando Sentinel pointed out, “the figure actually underestimates the number of homeless children by excluding infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children who aren’t enrolled in public programs and homeless children who are home-schooled.”
Guantanamo by the Numbers | Infographic 2
Here is an infographic provided by the ACLU on Guantanamo Bay.
Did you know… there are 89 men who have been cleared for release, yet still being held prisoner? This is costing the US approximately $70 million per year to house them.
Did you know… that 92% of the prisoners at Guantanamo were never al Qaeda fighters, according to government data?
Did you know the youngest prisoner held at Guantanamo was 13 years old?
I didn’t know most this… but glad I do now. Rather a rude awakening as to what’s really going on.

Funnies, political cartoons, charts, quotes, and photos about current news Reply
A variety of political cartoon, funnies, quotes, photos and charts all about what is in today’s news, including the economy, politics, and the Occupy Movement.

I graduated debt-free. Now, students will graduate with a four-year degree often well into six-figures in debt. Higher eduction has evolved into a “damned if you do, and damned if you don’t” opportunity. More…

Occupy Albuquerque | The March of the Banks Oct 12 2011 Reply
Yesterday, Occupy Burque took to the downtown streets and spread the word. Some of the numbers provided are shocking.

Since my recent posting – more like a ranting – about the Princeton Random Generator which “predicted” 9/11, my curiosity rose. My abhoration for statistics had stopped me from researching previously. But now, this EGG contraption was eating away at my mind like termites devouring pine. So, off to the internet search engines I go.

Therefore, while perusing the internet, I came across The Telegraphs “21 Awful Truths About 9/11“…
OMG!…. Here is number eight on the list:
“Three hours before the attacks, a machine called a Random Event Generator at Princeton University predicted a cataclysmic event was about to unfold.”
