Automotive genius and legend Carroll Shelby died yesterday at the age of 89. The cause of his death has not yet been released, but Carroll has recently been hospitalized for pneumonia.

What an utter, absolute genius this man was, and always will be as his automotive designs will continue to live on. Born on January 11, 1923, in Leesburg Texas. Carroll Hall Shelby was born to Warren Hall Shelby, a rural mail carrier and Eloise Lawrence Shelby.

Tribute to Harry Morgan, Col Potter M*A*S*H* | Goodbye, Farewell and Amen 3

Like so many people, I grew up watching M*A*S*H* and loved each and every character and episode.  Harry Morgan, born April 10, 1915 died on December 7, 2011, was best known for his role at Colonel Sherman T. Potter in M*A*S*H* (1975–1983).  His other roles were as Pete Porter in both December Bride (1954–1959) and Pete and Gladys (1960–1962), Detective Bill Gannon on Dragnet (1967–1970), Amos Coogan on Hec Ramsey (1972–1974), and AfterMASH (1983-1984). Pig Paper: Canada Apr 1977 Issue No.03, a Kinks appreciation issue Reply

This issue of the Pig Paper came out in April 1977 and was a Kinks appreciation issue. This issue sees Edgar Breau expressing his love for the Kinks.  The “True Kink Konfessions” of Simply Saucer’s Edgar Breau, distributed free-of-charge to concert-goers when The Kinks played Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on April 29, 1977. This was also the first Pig Paper made available outside of Canada (at the Kinks’ show in Buffalo, NY, the following evening, as well as during their in-store appearance at Buffalo’s Record Theatre the day after that).
