No, this is not a new sequel by author Thomas Harris, The Silence of the Lambs – this was an actual scene in Miami, Florida. A word of warning… although there are no graphic images, nor is there anything more shown than a blurred out naked body, and the bare legs of two naked men, this news story is true and is a horribly gruesome and violent crime. One man was witnessed literally biting into a man’s face, tearing away the flesh, and chewing….

A Hunting: From The Periphery by V.Lyn | The Versatile Blogger Award 17

I would like to share with you a few excerpts from probably the most moving post I have ever read anywhere either on the internet or on paper.

When I was tormenting myself last night with having to choose only fifteen blogs to award the Versatile Blogger Award to, there was a specific post on V Lyn’s site, “Drayton’s Gazette” that I specifically wanted to honor. But for some reason, I just could not find it. I swear I looked at every post of V’s she published over the past two months and it just was not there. So today, I asked if she had removed it. This post is something that is very personal to her, and very traumatic to any young child – or adult woman for that matter. So I thought she may have decided to keep it to herself.

Racism Gets a Standing Ovation 13

Recently, there have been two incidences at two separate schools in Georgia where slavery and racism have been openly displayed. The first was when a teacher used slaves in several math problems on the test. And just recently, a teach participated in a “slave game” being played by the students.

Talk about timing…. This story below came across my Facebook wall just a short while ago. It claims to be true, but I do not know the origin. Regardless, I believe you will enjoy the ending.

In 1965, Herb Younger purchased a new 1965 Chevy Impala SS.  This car was his baby.  For twenty years, he cared for this car and kept it in pristine condition.  However, when it was time for his two sons to go to college, Herb’s love for his sons was more important than the Impala so he sold the car to help pay for his sons’ tuition.
