Justice for Justice: Arrest Made for Dog Burned with Lighter Fluid 24
April 20 – How wonderful! Darius Ewing, who was wanted in connection to the puppy who was burned, has surrendered to the Dallas Police Department. He surrendered to police while a candle light vigil was being held by area animal advocates for the puppy named Justice, who died from his injuries.
The Police Department would like to thank the SPCA of Texas, animal advocacy groups, concerned citizens and Crimestoppers who pulled together to offer a reward in this case.

Today I was sent this story about a dog named Justice, and it brought forth every emotion possible. Primarily, endless amount of rage, enormous pain and sadness. So why post something as deplorable as this story? For one, in hopes that someone will tip the police and the perpetrators will be arrested. But also to bring awareness that torture and cruelty to animals tragically exists. I do not know what the penalties are in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for this type of crime, but many cities and states do not have strong enough punishments to fit the crimes. Look into the facts in your area and help fight for stricter punishments for acts such as this….

Scores of homes have been destroyed in wildfires that have devastated large parts of Texas and Oklahoma.
The Texas Forest Service said it had been the worst fire season in the state’s history, with 20,115 blazes burning a record 3.5m acres since November.

Tornadoes ripped through parts of the Midwest today killing at least 24 people in a Missouri town where a hospital was damaged, and at least one person in Minneapolis.
These storms were part of a series that battered the Midwest tonight. Tornado warnings and watches were posted from Texas to Michigan.
Those storms followed a tornado Saturday night that swept through a small eastern Kansas town, killing one person and destroying at least 20 homes, as severe thunderstorms pelted the region with hail that some residents described as the size of baseballs, authorities said today.
