Maurice Sendak on Newt Gingrich
Recently, Maurice Sendak was recently featured on the Colbert Report. During the interview, Maurice provided his view on Newt Gingrich:
Newt Gingrich is an idiot of great renown… There is something so hopelessly gross and vile about him that it’s hard to take him seriously so let’s not take him seriously.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Maurice Sendak was great, and I saw the interview with him on Colbert. But as I looked at the caricature of Gingrich there in the corner, I thought that it should have been a real photo of Gingrich instead – because his real face is far more repulsive.

Sad about the passing of Maurice Sendak. It’s a big loss for anyone who enjoyed literature, art or intelligent, curmudgeonly commentary. And, for anybody who saw that awesome Colbert interview, you might want to check out what I saw at the bookstore just this morning:
