“Game Change” is an HBO exclusive movie that follows John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, from his selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, to their ultimate defeat in the general election. It is scheduled to premier on March 10th at 9 PM EST. Do you plan on watching? At first, I had no desire to, but now I have changed my mind. My DVR is set and ready to record. I am actually looking forward to watching “Game Change.” I fully expect to be completely entertained in the same manner in which we are when watching the Three Stooges. However, I will have to turn the movie off if I become too overwhelmed from the harsh reality this pathetic woman came only a few steps away from the White House. That thought still gives me chills.

However, Palin is not quite so excited as I am. In fact, Sarah Palin has released her own video response, shown at the bottom of this post, to the “Game Change” trailer. Additionally, both Palin and McCain have stated that they do not plan to watch the movie, and have requested that HBO lists this feature as “fiction.”
In a nutshell, the film’s screenwriter and co-executive producer Danny Strong replied, “no.” Here is an interview by CNN with Danny Strong.
A press release from SarahPAC explains their video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film’s release. “Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit,” the release said.
It adds, “Behind Game Change’s slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party.”
Oh, really now, Sarah. Distorted for profit…. How about when you quit on your state so you could tour the country and profit from your book, Sarah. Alas, your hypocrisy is showing.
And “slander”? The only slander I see is the statement about the movie being “…a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign….” In fact, exactly what or where is this “trail of money”? Please point it out because I am sure not seeing it.
So, on March 10th, I’m going to give this movie a shot. There are primarily two reasons why I will should be able to stomach it. First, the fact it is Julianne Moore, not actually Palin. And secondly, in the trailer, it sounds as though Julianne is not mimicking Palin’s voice entirely – and thankfully. Sarah Palin’s voice, for some reason, gives me the same feeling that fingernails on a chalkboard do. There is something in that woman’s odd accent and inflections that make me start twitching.
Here is Palin’s mockery of HBO’s “Game Change”:
