The Parting Shot for April 18, 2012
The better to see you with, my dear….
“I made this image at Myakka River State Park in Sarasota, Florida, this past spring. There had been no rain in the river valley for quite a while, and the waters were at drought level. I found this guy in a shallow depression in the riverbed, along with some trapped fish, and knew I had a good chance for an evening shot with flash.”

And I thought I had bad red eye in some photos… evil! Great shot of this beast!
Yes it is. Usually, the flash/red eye ruins a photo. Not in this one.
Wonderful…I hope the poor guy made it until the next rainfall. Love the eye reflection in the water! I personally am the anti-Ansel Adams. Give me a $10,000 camera and I will take a picture of my thumb!
LOL… Oh, I’m sure the $10k camera owners have taken some very strange shots. Mine is just $900, but definitely have taken some weird ones.
The eye reflection is awesome!
michelle, looks a lot like my uncle Sal. g’nite gracie. continue…
gnite gracie
Great photo, but I’m glad it wasn’t the last thing I saw last night before going to bed.
Awwww….
Thumps up!
Just don’t put your thumbs too close to the photo subject.
No worries! I won’t go anywhere near,
