The piece features Union Jack flags draped across the wall and applied to the artist’s signature stencil of a child working on a sewing machine. Created in line with the royal Diamond Jubilee celebration to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s 60-year reign, it’s said that the piece hopes to put spotlight on child labor issues.
Banksy’s gonna have a heyday with the summer Olympics going on in London.

It’s totally “Queens Jubilee” oriented, I think it signifies the Reign of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. Child labour was still very much a part of society when she became Queen. AS, to the contrast of today’s child. You won’t see kids making bunting(flags) today, whereas you would’ve then.

I was a child in the 50’s in England and don’t remember any child labour?

Your absolutely Right there was no child Labour since the Victorian Times but the more poorer families still sent their kids to work rather than school right up until the Second World War. Boys from working class families left school at 12/13 to go to out to work.

Excellent! No way I’ll make it to the London games. Hell I lived in LA until two weeks before the Los Angels Games… still didn’t make it.
Of course Banksy will remain a mystery until we’re long gone… similar to the Nixon files.
He is honestly an artist of the people.
