The G’morning Shot for June 17, 2012
Three female mannequins on a desert hillside. Clothed, semi-nude, and nude. Sounds like Playboy Magazine to me….
Madrid NM is a very interesting desert town. At one time it was a booming mining community – then it died. In the mid 1970’s, the town was actually listed for sale somewhere around $250,000. No one bought it. Since then, it has slowly come back to life and is now an artists community. Some hippies, as some I talked to specifically refer to themselves as, and those who just prefer to keep to themselves. I love it there. I suppose this is one artist’s creation here. Definitely unique.

love it!
LOL… They’re across the small valley which leads into Madrid. Until I used my “long” camera lens, I couldn’t tell what it was. Then when I could see through my lens, I loved it!
Hi,
How unusual, it is certainly different, but they do stand out, I think it’s great that someone took the time to do this. 🙂
So do I. And, for a mannequin torso on a pole mounted on the side of a desert hill, it’s actually rather tasteful in a creative way.
