Well, I’ll be darned. Doesn’t seem like they got enough of the root system, but perhaps they did. Will be interesting to see what happens. Oak trees are pretty sturdy, I think anyway. Thanks for the links!

Uhm… does this mean that there will soon be a bunch of jokes about “Why did the tree cross the street?” to replace the chicken jokes? Why did the tree cross the street? Because although their hearts were in the right place, those tree huggers were butt ugly, and SO butt ugly, that even the tree couldn’t get wood!
