Bill O’Reilly Finally “Apologizes” for Being an Idiot about the Health Care Ruling
Back on March 26th, Bill O’Reilly invited Caroline Frederickson, President of the American Constitution Society, on his show The O’Reilly Factor. To sum it up, O’Reilly was rude and continually talked over Caroline by insisting that she “answer the question, answer the question” but wouldn’t shut up long enough for her to answer his question – at least not give Bill the answer he wanted to hear. But Bill is what Bill is, and I will leave it at that. At the very end of the segment Bill carries on with his disdain for the Affordable Health Care Act and insists it is a mandate, a police state, etc. and says, “Miss Fredrickson, you’re going to lose, and your arguments are specious” He continues, “It is going to be 5 to 4, and if I’m wrong, I will play your clip and apologize for being an idiot.”
LOL… Oh, it was 5 to 4 alright. He was not wrong there, but not that way he thought it would be. Sorry, Mr. Bill…. apparently the swing judge has not been bought by your political party’s right-wing bribery. Damn… I hate it when that happens…. [she says thick with sarcasm]
Here is the segment from March 26th. At the very end is when Mr. Bill makes this bet. Although in the last video below in this post which shows his “apology,” he does replay this portion, as per his “promise.” So you may skip this video if you wish. Or you may watch Mr. Bill be a complete ass to his guest, Caroline.
O’Reilly Says He’ll Apologize For Being An Idiot If Supreme Court Upholds Health Care Reform Law (March 26, 2012)
June 28th edition of The O’Reilly Factor
Instead of addressing his promise, O’Reilly chose to push a number of debunked falsehoods about the health care law:
• The law “will allow the federal government to take over the health care system.” The law does no such thing. PolitiFact rated this claim its “Lie of the Year” in 2010, writing: ” ‘Government takeover’ conjures a European approach where the government owns the hospitals and the doctors are public employees. But the law Congress passed, parts of which have already gone into effect, relies largely on the free market.” Fox News figures have used the “government takeover” lie over and over again.
• “This is what they do in Canada” and “Great Britain.” In fact, President Obama and congressional Democrats explicitly rejected a Canadian or British-style health care system during passage of the health care law. Canada has a universal health insurance system that’s paid for by taxes, though doctors and hospitals remain private; Great Britain has a fully socialized health care system in which most doctors are employed by the government.
[My input here…. Why do Republicans and the Tea Party keep trashing other country’s systems IF THEY ARE WORKING? Personally, I do not care if the country is a socialistic or communistic country – if their health care plan works, then study it, find out the components which are successful, and start integrating those pieces into our own system and evolve until we have it right! This is a complete scare tactic used by the RNP and Tea Party to literally brainwash ill-informed party people that it must be bad since another country has a similar plan in place.]
• Care “is going to be rationed.” Fox News figures have repeatedly fearmongered over “rationing,” while ignoring the reality private insurance companies already ration care. Meanwhile, the health care law specifically forbids the Independent Payment Advisory Board created by the legislation from making “any recommendations to ration health care.”

July 2nd edition of The O’Reilly Factor
FINALLY… today Mr. Bill lived up to his “promise” and said the words which imply an apology. Did he mean it? Absolutely NOT. Especially when he precedes it with, “I’m not really sorry but….” Just watch his dishonorable insincerity….
O’Reilly Finally Apologizes For Incorrect Prediction About Health Care Ruling (July 2, 2012)
Shortly into the video, Bernie Goldberg comes on and states to Bill that “[Bill O’Reilly] is many things but naive isn’t one of them.” As much as this pains me to say, I will agree with Bernie…. Bill is not naive. He is ruthless, cold, calculating, manipulative and misleading. A naive person cannot possess these traits as only a master of deceipt can.
On a side note here about the Affordable Health Care Act…. At first, I was unsure about it. The idea of requiring everyone to take out insurance just left me uneasy. However, the more I read about this plan, the more I like it. We definitely need a major overhaul with our system. Many countries have very successful health care plans – although none are perfect, and I doubt there ever will be such a thing. Our country has let our health care go amok far too long and too many people are suffering because of this neglect due to the greed among the private insurance companies. The time for picking and choosing who a company will insure must come to an end, and this plan hopefully will do that. This all still yet remains to be seen….
And with that, I am done.
Signing off…

I could care less about bills apology, and I’m quite certain neither does Ms. Caroline Frederickson Of The American Constitution Society. Unlike Bill O’Reilly, she knows the Constitution from actually reading the Constitution.
Liked what I read, but too tired to comment now… I’ll be back tomorrow.
I’m getting that way, too. Gnite.
He’s still an IDIOT.
LOL… yes, he is.
I love the affordable care act…The benefits far out way any so called negative… We are required as citizens to by insurance if we wish to drive…and pay a significant price for those who drive uninsured…enough so that the insurance industry consumer protection groups and consumers themselves said that to protect us AGAINST THOSE PEOPLE who will drive their vehicles without insurance we responsible drivers can purchase UNINSURED DRIVER INSURANCE…to help mitigate the cost/expensive of those who refuse or can not afford coverage…
The mandate says we responsible people will no longer have to pay higher premiums for those who are either unwilling to purchase insurance or can not afford insurance, and for those who can not afford it the federal government will assist them in the expense of it. If all people are covered especially where it comes to preventative measures the cost to the country will go do significantly.
We as a nation are far behind other countries in how we care for our citizens this is a major step in the right direction that proclaims to Care about its people.
Yes, we are horribly behind. And it so pisses me off to hear people like Mr Bill here say we have the best health care system in the world. I guess he hasn’t been looking at the numbers, then, because we most definitely do not. We have the potential to have the best in the world technology-wise and people-wise (doctors, nurses, specialists, etc). But with the way it’s ran, it is far inferior to many countries. And I HATE their tactic about how they don’t want to model after a western European system – like that’s a bad thing. It is NOT when that system works!
Absolutely! Hey have a great 4th
