            Yes it is worth it. You can then apply for AdWords. But I noticed a significant increase in traffic after I got my own domain.

      Oh yeah. Nothing changes, just your URL. You’re still on wordpress.com. Unless you are thinking of moving to your own server and using wordpress.org. That’s different. I have my own domain and point it to my wordpress.com site. I actually really like wp.com – excellent SEO built in

            I actually like wp.com more than wp.org – except that there are limitations to customizing the website.
