Ann Romney spoke to a largely female audience at a “Women For Mitt” rally in Findlay, Ohio, today. Ann is out pleading to women to support and vote for Mitt as the numbers are showing the harsh reality of what Romney has done to the women in this country.

The latest CNN/ORC International Poll, released Tuesday, showed a “gender gap” between the two candidates: 54% of women surveyed said they were leaning towards or supporting Obama, while only 42% said the same of Romney. Asked who is more in touch with the issues facing women, 56% of all voters surveyed named Obama and 36% named Romney.

Honestly, I’m surprised Mitt has that many women supporting him. But then, I have not really believed these polls at all this year. They’ve looked way to hinkey most of the time.

I am both shocked and incredibly angry that Ann Romney has the gall to tell women to wake up! She and Mitt are the ones that both need to wake up. Ann goes on further to say:

“Women have to ask themselves who is going to… be there for you. I can promise you, I know that Mitt will be there for you, he will stand up for you, he will hear your voices, he knows how to fix an economy, he’s a can do kind of guy, he’s a turnaround guy.”

Ann… women are not following him because of the economy. It is because he wants to make life worse for women and do away with what women have fought so hard to get.

“My husband was getting demonized, lied about, and now, you know, we’re really getting it, as you know,” Mrs. Romney said.

Gotta go pee?

“Lied about?” It is your husband that has declared over and over again that one of the first things he will do is shut down Planned Parenthood. Just because you have never needed to use one of the clinics doesn’t mean that millions of others don’t. Additionally, Mitt has clearly stated that he is against abortion wanting to repeal Roe v Wade. He has been somewhat noncommittal when it comes to aborting a pregnancy from rape.

Abortion is not a pretty thing. It’s certainly something not discussed around the water cooler. However, it is a decision which needs – and must – be made by the mother, the father when applicable, and any family members involved. No government, especially one of nearly all men, should be making any decisions about women’s reproductive rights.

Don’t forget, Ann, another member of your party by the name of Scott Walker up in Wisconsin decided to repeal the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act which is equal pay for women for equal work. Walker apparently doesn’t believe women deserve equal pay, and his decision most certainly was not chided by any other Republican. Straight up… Mitt Romney doesn’t have the spine to endorse the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. You know what they say, “birds of a feather….”

Ann Romney… wake up. Your husband did this to himself. He is following what his party is telling him to do – just like a good puppy dog. But this puppy dog has a hand with enough digits on one hand to hold a pen.

Lastly, don’t you EVER dare to tell the women of this country – and definitely not me – to “wake up.” You, by far, is one woman who most definitely needs to wake up. Your husband and his party believe they are superior to women and want to take away what women have fought to get for many decades – long before you, Mitt, and myself were born. I’ll be damned if we will stand by quietly and let this happen.
