Secret Video | Romney Talks Shit About Average Americans at Wealthy “Intimate” Fundraiser
When he doesn’t know a camera’s rolling, the GOP candidate shows his disdain for half of America. The footage was taken at a private “intimate fundraiser” with “a small group of wealthy contributors” at the Boca Raton home of controversial private equity manager Marc Leder on May 17.
Romney dismissed these Americans as freeloaders who pay no taxes, who don’t assume responsibility for their lives, and who think government should take care of them. Specifically, Romney mentions that many of us do not pay “income” taxes. Until I see 12 years of Romney’s tax returns, I do not believe he has been paying income tax as well as hiding a lot of money overseas and not paying ANY taxes on that. Ohhhhhh… my blood pressure just shot up. To point a finger at the public when he needs to point it towards himself. Here is what Mitt Romney says:
“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.”

Romney… wake up. Many of these people are victims. Victims of Bush, victims of Wall Street, victims of Bain Capital, victims of bad mortgages with inflated values… basically, victims of the wealthy.
Whether or not Romney believes in government assistance – that is how our country has grown. Our country is a society that cares, a government that cares about it’s people and does not want to see half our population on the streets, and wants to make sure that the elderly are taken care of. We are not in the caveman days where the elderly and weak went off and died so they wouldn’t slow down their clan.
Is our system perfect? Absolutely not. Find the problems and work together in order find a better solution. You just do not pull the assistance from everyone while at the same time saying, “f-you! You’re on your own now.” Romney literally wants to rip apart our government and country entirely and do it his way regardless of what the people think… what they need.
It amazes me how Romney believes that we all want to live off the government. Hardly! Sure, some do. We’re not a perfect society nor species. most of the people, however, simply want to work – and receive fair pay for their job. As well as making sure they and their family has some type of health care.
That’s all most people want, Romney. After hearing him say this, which is the most dispicable thing I’ve heard him say yet, I have to honestly vent… “Mitt Romney, f-you, and go to hell you ignorant greedy selfish psychopath.”

“Those people” will dance on his political grave on Election Day.
I hope so. I’ll be right there with them.
I’m one of “those people”… that “47%”… but not because I want to be. It’s called “disabled”. I’d much rather be working and I’d LOVE to tell that asshole this directly to his face. I’m a damn veteran. I signed on that dotted line and was promised I’d be taken care of for life should I be injured in the line of duty. I was. The government damn well better step up and keep it’s promise. Thus far, they have. He gets in office, he wants to cut what I’m living on because he automatically thinks I’m lazy? It doesn’t have a damn thing to do with lazy. I busted my ASS for this country and I have the awards to prove it… not silly ribbons that everyone gets, but Command Level awards earned by changing the way systems worked Air Force wide.
That MF can kiss my lily white ass.

Oh, no apologies. My blood pressure hit the roof when I watched this. I went from strongly disliking him to absolutely despising him, loathing, anything along those lines.
Another group in that 47% are senior citizens – of who most of them have earned the SSN as they’ve worked a lifetime and paid into it. It’s time for them to kick back and not worry.
This has been all over the news. Went to bed last night watching CNN and every show that came on they talked about this video. Then on the morning news. Romney just lost his run for president. If he wins now, then there is tampering with the voting computers.
I initially found by accident the whole video (not chopped up in pieces like in Mother Jones) on the Forbes.com website over the weekend. Not sure if it is there now, but I heard the whole thing about 15-20 minutes long. I immediately put it on Facebook, but no one said “boo” about it. I wonder why if I could find it so easily, no one else took the 30 minutes out of their day to watch it then? I am glad its out finally, but I am going to go back to Forbes.com and see if I can find the entire video.
I am also disabled (have been for 12 years now and 40 years old). I am very worried that my former governor is going to win this election. Personally he scares the shit outta me. I remember how he was here in Massachusetts and I don’t want to see it again!
The way that this has spread across the news and even the disdain from the news reporters… I believe Romney just lost the election.
I’m going to have to look around for either a full version, or more of the clips. The news showed a lot more than this one here. Romney is a snake in the grass and deserves nothing.
Being a ‘Grave Dancer’ sounds like something borrowed from the 1%. I have never done that, but it does seem appropriate. No, money does not buy class, personality, common sense, and intelligence (and I’m sure a lot of other items). And Romney has none of the above. I’m pretty sure he just lost the election with this one. Every news station covered it last night and still covering it.
