In another attempt by the GOP to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act, House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell released a joint statement to the Associated Press – and I’m sure they didn’t realize what they actually said. After all, they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.
“We’ve heard the American people loud and clear, and they’ve said they aren’t tired of the inefficiencies of Congress. They support our hapless votes for bills that will never pass and it’s completely untrue that they’re dissatisfied with our job performance. How can the American people be unhappy with the job we’ve done, when we haven’t done anything?“
Nope, you two haven’t done anything except to make sure that Obama was a one-term president… and we all know how that attempt ended.
In all reality, they probably meant that they haven’t done anything against the people. You know, they’re “innocent.” The thing is, no matter what any political figure does, there will be supporters and there will be condemners. So to have neither, then that truly means they haven’t done a damn thing. But that, in-and-of-itself, is actually doing something — not supporting the majority of the American people.
