I don’t know about you, but I’m getting really tired of this b.s. The Republican Party has really entered into a desperation stage in attempting to repeal Obamacare because it is now proving to everyone that the GOP is a bunch of liars. The Affordable Healthcare Act is proving to help in many ways… providing people with insurance that normally would have been denied. And yes, saving people money. Oh, make sure to take note that businesses and insurance companies are not self-imploding.
Damn, it must hurt to be caught up in a bald-faced lie.
Now, if Congress can start working together to tweak Obamacare and make the appropriate adjustments as I’m sure there will be parts that need to be improved upon.
If only… (sigh)
According to MSN.Money, here are a couple key upcoming dates:
Oct. 1: Open enrollment starts for a new health insurance marketplace. Consumers and small businesses will be able to shop for health insurance policies here.
You’ll be able to see what insurers are charging for different levels of coverage and sign up for plans that take effect on Jan. 1, 2014…..
Jan. 1, 2014: This is a huge day for Obamacare. Many of the old rules of health insurance will go out the window and move sharply in favor of some consumers, particularly those most in need of health care.
The first policies issued by those who have shopped through the marketplace will start. In addition, a series of consumer protections will take effect. Insurers will not be allowed to refuse coverage to someone because of a pre-existing condition or charge more because of their health or gender.
I am one of those who will start doing some shopping come October 1st. My primary care physician is very supportive of Obamacare and is the one who is helping keep me up to date on the up and coming insurance coverage I will be able to purchase. I am a contract employee. I love my job. Work full time. And paid very well for what I do. But contract = no insurance. Why should I be penalized because I am not a number in a corporation’s Human Resources file?
To think of all that could have been done if the GOP were not such a group of stubborn fools who are only doing this to throw tantrums. Time is running out, Boehner. tick…. tick… tick…. Pretty soon you will be recognized by even those of your own party as the biggest Congressional liar of the century.
