Canadian posts letter in Detroit Free Press, baffled at anti-Obama vitriol, “You Americans have no idea just how good you have it with Obama”
Here is a Letter to the Editor, “You Americans have no idea just how good you have it with Obama,” in the Detroit Free Press, an online newspaper, from a Canadian who just cannot understand how so many people hate Obama the way they do. Well, Richard Brunt, I am scratching my head at this one, too. I don’t expect everyone to be an Obama-lover. I know several people who have some valid reason or another as to why they don’t like everything he’s done – but they sure don’t hate him. And they refused to vote for the party that would bring back in the trouble we just dug ourselves out of. There are a few items Obama has done that I don’t care for, but, in keeping it real, I don’t expect any politician at any level to perfectly fit my agenda. But I just do not understand the vile hatred and blatant lies from people.

Many of us Canadians are confused by the U.S. midterm elections. Consider, right now in America, corporate profits are at record highs, the country’s adding 200,000 jobs per month, unemployment is below 6%, U.S. gross national product growth is the best of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. The dollar is at its strongest levels in years, the stock market is near record highs, gasoline prices are falling, there’s no inflation, interest rates are the lowest in 30 years, U.S. oil imports are declining, U.S. oil production is rapidly increasing, the deficit is rapidly declining, and the wealthy are still making astonishing amounts of money.
America is leading the world once again and respected internationally — in sharp contrast to the Bush years. Obama brought soldiers home from Iraq and killed Osama bin Laden.
So, Americans vote for the party that got you into the mess that Obama just dug you out of? This defies reason.
When you are done with Obama, could you send him our way?

One word describes all hatred against The American 44th POTUSA: Racism.
Racism has nothing to do with it. As a Canadian not from bc I see it more as bad policies plain and simple!
I don’t know if racism explains ALL the hate, but I think it explains a lot. A lot more than most people are willing to admit. Obama’s election was by no means the “end of racism.” That was just the day racism went underground.
This guy just boggles my mind. Racism, ignorance, hatred, sociopath, and the list goes on.

I have to say Richard here does not speak for all canadians especially those of us who pay taxes!! As I stated before this has nothing to do with race! Actually I feel there may be racism as it is never mentioned that Obama is half white. So really it makes no difference either way for me as I think his policies are anti canadian!
