I honestly cannot believe this is happening…. Every year for the holidays, Starbucks debuts a new holiday-themed cup. This year the cup is very simplistic – it is nothing more than red with the Starbucks logo. Apparently that has pissed off a lot of people – enough to cause a commotion in the social sites. These nay-sayers are crying due to the absence of snowflakes, ice skates, and other holiday regalia that have been featured on their past holiday cups, and radical right-wing Christians are declaring that Starbucks is having a War on Christmas.

All I have to say is get a life, people. And if you are one of those that have sworn to boycott Starbucks, then I say good. I don’t really want to be around people with this type of attitude. Go to Dunkin’ Donuts.

Here are some of the tweets…

Not surprisingly, there are some radical Christians who find this red cup offensive….

Joshua Feuerstein is one of the forerunners on this Christian war-on-christmas-boycott-starbucks deal. He posted this video and claims that Starbucks hates Jesus.

(NOTE: For some reason, I am unable to embed this FB post. I’ve tried everything thing I can think of to no avail. So here is a portion of his video someone posted to Youtube. If you want to see the full Facebook post, then click here.)

On the lighter side, here is a design that has been suggested by a Twitterer…

And some other humor….

And to end this……..

  3. I can’t see red and green on anything without thinking “Christmas.” Doesn’t matter what it is or what time of year it is. Red + green = Christmas. Period. Yet that kind of indoctrination is not enough for these people?

    1. I guess not. Some people just feel the need to complain about anything and everything. Now that pastor with the video — he’s an attention seeker. I checked out his website and he’s nothing but a troublemaker. Creating drama where there is none – creating false accusations in order to do so.

      1. Really don’t care what that man says. He and Carson make no sense at all most of the time.
