Antifa, in short, is America. More specifically, American values. Antifa, quite literally, is short for “anti-fascism.” America has stood up to fascism, supporting freedom and democracy, since Day One. Ergo, antifa IS America and American values.

Lately, donald trump’s right-hand henchman, Stephen Miller, has been declaring that “antifa” is a hate group to be banned. Most Americans’ first thought is, “What the fuck IS ‘antifa’?” The short answer: Antifa is not a unified organization but rather a movement without a hierarchical leadership structure, comprising multiple autonomous groups and individuals.

Can be banned? No, TECHNICALLY, antifa cannot be banned – at least not in the real world. Sadly, our government no longer exists in a true reality – and they are trying very hard, by using techniques heavily used by the Nazi party, to, quite literally, brainwash Americans. Instead, MAGA lives in an alternate reality comprised of a fantasy world of authoritarianism and, unrealized by most MAGA members, a plutocracy. You cannot ban antifa any more than you can ban democracy, socialism, or conservatism. But the trump administration IS banning it – and that is very dangerous for ALL Americans. Please stick with me and I’ll explain a bit further down — but it is critical to understand WHY Stephen Miller is doing this.

To better understand what antifa is, let’s look at the “Reader’s Digest version” of it’s history.

First, briefly, I dove into Wikipedia’s description of antifa and it’s fairly spot-on. Wikipedia is a very reliable source for information as it is open source, being comprised of a wide range of individuals of all backgrounds. There are more checks and balances in Wiki than there are in our own government – especially now. Granted, there are a few points I do not agree with – at least from MY understanding of what antifa is – but, overall, it is the best reference as it provides references.

When Italian dictator Benito Mussolini consolidated power under his National Fascist Party in the mid-1920s, an oppositional anti-fascist movement surfaced both in Italy and countries such as the United States. Many anti-fascist leaders in the United States were anarchist, socialist, and syndicalist émigrés from Italy with experience in labor organizing and militancy.[83] Ideologically, antifa in the United States sees itself as the successor to anti-Nazi activists of the 1930s. European activist groups that originally organized to oppose World War II-era fascist dictatorships re-emerged in the 1970s and 1980s to oppose white supremacy and skinheads, eventually spreading to the United States. If antifa is not an actual organization nor a group, why is Stephen Miller and donald trump banning it?

Because anyone who attempts to stand up to fascism is an anti-fascist — a “member” of antifa — and that will provide them with a reason to arrest them. Or, more specifically, you.

Good question. I am not quite sure how they are doing this, but they are. We are now under fascist control – they can do what they want with impunity.

Yes, America, it is happening. We are rapidly losing our freedom every day that passes.

I wish I had a solid answer, but I do not. I ask this to myself every day. I know that if I sit back in the shadows and not speak up, then I will be complicit in this fascist takeover of the United States, so I post online. A lot. Almost exclusively in Twitter (aka “X”). I do work full time so my free time is limited, therefore I stick to a media that is quite visible these day.

Please, don’t be complicit in this take over. Speak up. Contacts your Congressman/woman. Post online. Write letters. Something. Anything. Just don’t sit back and let it happen without a fight.
