Trump’s Tantrum to Norway Threatening to Attack Greenland for not Winning the Nobel Peace Prize

Yup. You read that title right. If you haven’t heard yet, Trump sent a nasty-gram to Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime minister and leader of the Norwegian Labour Party as well as the Nobel Peace Prize committee. Here it is in all its glory…

Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT

There are so many things wrong with this, I cannot even begin.

To sum it up:

  • Greenland has nothing to do with Norway other than having shorelines that face each other with Norway on the east side of the Norwegian Sea and Greenland on the west side (approximately 800 miles apart)
  • The Nobel Peace Prize is a separate organization, not part of the Danish government
  • Threatening to invade a country for not winning the Nobel Peace Prize (this still renders me speechless)

This would be like the president of France, Macron, threatening Trump that France will invade Canada because Macron did not win an Oscar.

Needless to say, this proves, beyond any doubt, that Donald J. Trump is completely and totally unwell and unfit to continue serving as president of the United States.

This really caused a lot of tsunami-sized waves throughout the world. When reading this for the first time, I imagine many leaders of nations throughout the world first looked at the text with their jaw dropped, then laughed, and eventually cried as the realization that they have to work with such a sick, stupid man.

I created this meme, below, last week. I had no idea that it would be so appropriate for today’s news.
