The Great Internet Black Out Has Commenced

On Jan 24th, Congress will vote to pass internet censorship in the Senate, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill – PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House – to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity. Many sites have blacked out today in protest of the SOPA/PIPA bills and followed Reddit’s lead. And finally this is getting some major media coverage.  Check them out….

Cheezburger, and all their subdomains.  LOL… I got a kick out of this one.  There’s a “teaser” here as they give you an option to choose “No Thanks” but it’s a dead link – doesn’t go anywhere nor allow you to pass. You must choose the “Tell Me More” button, which takes you to the second screen shot here, which is an example of the internet should SOPA/PIPA pass.

Minecraft.  LOL… Love the NOPA!

.

Greenpeace International.  Now this site is pretty cool… it’s interactive.  Move your mouse and the spotlight moves, and the shadow also moves accordingly.

.

The Google search window (it’s still functional, but they’re protesting their own way)

Craigslist

Justin Bieber – Okay, I have to admit… just who in the world IS Justin Bieber.  Yes, I see and hear his name all the time, but I do not follow Hollywood trends.  I have to admit, though… I do like his site.
