LOL… no problem. I always have to post something either very striking, humorous, or different. At first, I was thinking of this guy I’ve been saving to post who is covered with tattoo’s… bones, tendons, his scalp is tatted like a brain. Very very weird… but incredible work. Then decided to find something a bit more sultry.

Oh, that’d be up to them and it costs. Plus I’m going to be building the site probably when the pups are whelping. If anything, it’s best to video tape, then can edit out the boring times between the pups. We had one bitch that waited 2 hours between each one. That night took forever. She started just after midnight, and didn’t stop until dawn. And there were still 2 in her. So off to the vet she goes. A shot of labor inducer and “pop” “pop” out they came. My roommates Portuguese Water Dogs…. I don’t breed now. I just help. I used to breed Husky’s years ago.

I always wanted a husky. Pretty dogs. Wow I didn’t know they would take that long between pups. I had a cat that use to have kittens it seem like every 4 months and they would come out one, two, three. My son had a pit bull that had puppies, we check the puppies the next day and she ate the pups. Hated pit bulls since.

Oh, my. I’ve heard of a mama eating pups before, but so rare. I wonder why – especially when whelped in a home environment.

And actually, pit’s are usually very devoted mothers. There are breed which are more “dumb” to their litter. But I’m not sure there are any that are aggressive to their offspring. Typically when a bitch eats their pups it’s because instinctively, they think something is wrong with them. Maybe she saw, smelled or felt something we didn’t as humans.

I’ve heard that. Last week on Frozen planet. A pack of wolves caught a bison another bison came behind and knocked the caught bison down. Which kept the wolves occupied so the rest of the herd could get away. On another show I saw a group of bison protect an offspring from a pack of wolves. So I guess you’re right their instinct will dictate their actions.

All dogs in this house are trained to guard against hard core right-wingnuts – especially Rush. He’ll never make it past the gate in one piece. Same thing with Jehovah’s Witnesses…. 🙂
