Oh, ouch. This little discovery, in my opinion, has really got to hurt Trump — at least mentally. I’m a bit surprised it’s not spread across all the main stream media as this is a really juicy find. Although it’s not damning as it doesn’t provide proof on Trump’s behalf, or even his campaign, of joining forces with Putin, but it sure fits in nicely with all the other Russia/Putin-based facts.

According to the Times, back in 2015, a business associate of Donald Trump tried to set up a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow in late 2015 — and bragged in emails to Trump’s lawyer that the deal could “get Donald elected.”

The Times article further writes:

Mr. Sater, a Russian immigrant, said he had lined up financing for the Trump Tower deal with VTB Bank, a Russian bank that was under American sanctions for involvement in Moscow’s efforts to undermine democracy in Ukraine. In another email, Mr. Sater envisioned a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Moscow.
“I will get Putin on this program and we will get Donald elected,” Mr. Sater wrote.

Mr. Sater was a broker for the Trump Organization at the time of his messages to Mr. Cohen. Here is an exerpt from an email to Cohen:

"Michael I arranged for Ivanka to sit in Putins [sic] private chair at his desk and office in the Kremlin. I will get Putin on this program and we will get Donald elected. We both know no one else knows how to pull this off without stupidity or green getting in the way. I know how to play it and we will get this done. Buddy our boy can become President of the USA and we can engineer it. I will get all of Putins [sic] team to buy in on this, I will"

Like I said, nothing damning, but sure adds more fuel to the fire that Trump had the assistance of Russia/Putin in getting elected.
