“If you’re a young, African American or an immigrant, you can go anywhere in this state, you just need to be conservative, not liberal”.

Oh, yes. Graham went there. Two things I want to point out…

1. The label “African Americans.” PLEASE STOP CALLING PEOPLE AFRICAN AMERICANS! Black people are Americans just like me and anyone else born here, or legally immigrated. We don’t call white people “European Whites” or “Russian Whites” or “British Whites”. You get the idea. This just goes to show how out-of-touch Graham is towards minorities, as well as putting his racism right out there for all to see.
   


2. So, according to his statement, if someone is liberal then they’re NOT welcome? Talk about targeting a sect of people and immorally trying to coerce them to follow his political views.

“Do I believe our cops are systemically racist? No. Do I believe South Carolina is a racist state? No. Let me tell you why. To young people out there, young people of color, young immigrants, this is a great state, but one thing I can say without any doubt, you can be an African American and go to the Senate but you just have to share our values.”
