The “Shortest Film” is a film short about three strangers with apparent language barriers that features some seriously long credits. It was written, directed and stars John Elerick and also stars Harley Morenstein and Timothy Delaghetto. The actual film is about 15 second long, and the credit about 3-1/2 minutes. Who wants to read all those credits?
On 13 January 2012 at about 9:45 pm, in calm seas and overcast weather, under command of Captain Francesco Schettino, Costa Concordia struck a rock in the Tyrrhenian Sea just off the eastern shore of Isola del Giglio, off the western coast of Italy about 100 km (62 mi) northwest of Rome. Of the 3,229 passengers and 1,023 crew known to have been aboard, 30 bodies have been located, and two more passengers are missing…
“It was like he does it every day.” Talk about taking matters into your own hands. So your favorite pizza restaurant doesn’t offer a drive through (are there any that does? Besides the combo Taco Bell/Pizza Hut drive-throughs), what do you do? This elderly man decided to take the term “drive through” literally and drove through the restaurant’s front door. Here is a spoof I heard played on the Randi Rhodes show Thursday. It features Sarah McLachlan’s song “In the Arms of an Angel” in the background while a man pleads to “save the guns.” Remember, “every gun has a right to life and to live up to its full potential to kill innocent children. Life begins when you disengage the safety.”

I subscribe to Oddee, which is a site that puts together lists. All kinds of lists. For example, “9 Amazing Facts About The Earth,” “13 Coolest ‘Just Married’ Photos,” and some really STRANGE ones, too… like “10 Craziest Foreign Objects Found Stuck In A Rectum” (that one was quite enlightening – link is at the bottom, I don’t want to lose you just yet).
Thought you’d never ask…. Here is what they all have in common. And damn, it’s true! Unless you’re Madonna. But times, they are a-changin’.
This is pretty cool! Japanese art student Jun Fujiwara is an audio recorder and remixer and has created a unique way to record sounds and play back the remix. A bottle. The user uncorks the bottle to initiate audio recording, which could be saying one syllable, or a clap, or crunching of leaves, to name just a few.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
End of the year is almost here and it’s time to reflect back on the happenings of 2012. I will have to admit, though, “The Best of Facebook” is a category that I never thought would exist. With the enormous popularity of Facebook combined with Facebook’s stock market failure, the name “Facebook” has become a household name. So why not pay homage to this website which draws both love and hate?
