Trump’s Prevention Plans

Here is a list that I’m sure Trump would put together if he wanted to, but that would interrupt his tweeting. So, like everything else, someone created this list for Trump. Here is…..

From Time magazine:

Trump told reporters Saturday while visiting the ruins of the Northern California town where a fire killed at least 76 people that wildfires weren’t a problem in Finland because crews “spend a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things” to clear forest floors.

I cannot even begin to explain that this is so not true. If Trump said the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, it would be along the same lines. Common sense prevails and some things just do not happen – such as raking dense forestland. Finland boasts some of the most densely populated forests in the world. Some numbers are provided in another tweet….

Finland’s president does not recall saying anything about raking their forests, either.

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto said in an interview published Sunday in the Ilta-Sanomat newspaper that he spoke briefly with Trump about forest management on Nov. 11, when they both were in Paris for Armistice Day events.

Niinisto said their conversation focused on the California wildfires and the surveillance system Finland uses to monitor forests for fires. He remembered telling Trump “We take care of our forests,” but couldn’t recall raking coming up.

So to keep the number of forest fires down, if raking isn’t a reason, could it be, ummm, snow? Winter in Lapland is approximately seven months long. Some interesting snow facts….

Think about it… if raking forests like this were possible, what would the do with the leaves and undergrowth that they do rake out? Burn it? Sure not going to bag it as that’s leave millions of leaf bags littered throughout the forests. This Trump lie has moved into my Favorite Lies list along side of “thousands-of-parents-of-fallen-Korean-War-soldiers” lie.

  1. I used to wonder how low he can go but I realize there is no bottom. So I don’t wonder and have cut my stress level way down.

  2. I wonder what Trump thinks they do with 222,180 square kilometers of raked leaves and wouldn’t that alone constitute a fire hazard.

Go ahead... I can hear your thoughts. Please share with the rest!
