World count of Coronavirus passes the 2 million mark + tRump-COVID19 political cartoons
I’ve been watching Worldometer’s website COVID19 count since I found it a few weeks ago. It looks like the entire world submits their numbers into this site, so a good source to watch the Coronavirus count. Well, yesterday the world count of number of cases of Coronavirus passed the 2 million mark — and that’s just for confirmed cases. Specifically, the world count as of 1:02 pm MT today, April 16, 2020, was 2,109,709. The actual number, if you include those who have the virus but have not been tested for confirmation, would greatly increase this number.
Note the update posted on the Worldometer site – not sure how much this affected the count:
Following new CDC guidelines: “As of April 14, 2020, CDC case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths. This change was made to reflect an interim COVID-19 position statement issued by the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists on April 5, 2020. The position statement included a case definition and made COVID-19 a nationally notifiable disease.
On the more positive note, the US curve is starting to flatten out. We seemed to have peaked for new cases. This chart includes April 15. Click here to see the page with US-only numbers.
Now, here are some political cartoons about trump and his “relationship” with Coronavirus, aka COVID19. Sadly, many are more true than funny. If you click on any image, it will enlarge and you can scroll through each one at your own pace.
Given our pathetic testing rate, we’ve no idea how many cases there really are in the US. We don’t have a large enough sample to project accurate numbers.
No. But it’s not trump’s fault………
