FBI Releases Video, Photos of “Two Men of Interest” for the Boston Marathon Bombing

Just a few hours ago, the FBI released footage from a surveillance camera, and thusly some screenshots from said video, of two men walking along at the Boston Marathon. According to Special Agent Greg Comcowich:

“Suspect 1 is wearing a black hat

Suspect 2 is wearing a white hat.

Suspect 2 set down a back pack at the site of the second explosion just in front of the Forum Restaurant.

We strongly encourage those who were at the Forum Restaurant who have not contacted us yet to do so.

As you can see from one of the images, Suspects 1 and 2 appear to be walking together through the marathon crowd on Boylston Street in the direction of the finish line. That image was captured as they walked on Boylston in the vicinity of its intersection with Gloucester Street.”

I have viewed this video over and over several times. I even downloaded it as the quality of play is much better from a computer drive than when watching on YouTube. When trying to watch on YouTube in 1080p format, it keeps freezing and just being a pain-in-the-ass. YouTube has really gone downhill this past year….

Anyway, my thoughts…. Just what you wanted, right? Hey, it’s my blog and that’s what I do on my blog….

I will agree they do look somewhat out of place. They just don’t quite “fit” the crowd. But that’s not illegal. I’ve been plenty of places that I definitely don’t fit those around me. This is not the footage showing Suspect 2 set down the backpack as SA Comcowich states above. Why was that not posted? If I knew anything about these two, I’m not sure I would give up information about two people that are just walking through a crowd with backpacks – surrounded by many others with packs and bags of various assortments. If the FBI, police, et. al. want me  to give information about someone, then they had better provide me with more incriminating footage or photos than this. (I’m speaking figuratively here when I say “me.” I have no idea who these two guys are.)

Another item I noticed are the backpacks themselves. Suspect 1’s seems too small and mostly empty. It certainly does not look like the pack is holding a pressure cooker full of shrapnel. Suspect 2’s backpack is of a believable size, but it isn’t hanging heavy enough. I’m sure we’ve all both seen and experienced an over-loaded backpack. They pull down much more than what we are seeing in this video.

Now, I’m not saying that these two are not the suspects – I have no idea. They may be, they may not be the ones, or some of several, who set off the bombs in Boston. All I am offering are my observations of the released video. I do hope that the people that set the bombs off are caught, and in this day and age with a video camera in nearly everyone’s pocket, there has to be some footage out there which is much more incriminating that this.

I still want to see the footage of Number 2 setting down and walking away from his pack….. Hello? FBI?? Do you take requests?

Below are the photos. Click on them to view full size. I think the first two will fill a wall if you want to print them…. I have to wonder what is going through these two guys’ heads if and when they see this video and photos, regardless of being guilty or innocent. That’s what I would define as “shitting bricks.”
