Fabulous! Had not seen a pic before.
We have a lot of them here where I live. Lots of trees and shade, which they love. Very odd looking. There aren’t any of these where I grew up. So after moving here to New Mexico, I rather freaked out the first time I saw one. It was dead and in the garage. So I put it in a plastic sandwich bag and waited for the monthly exterminator visit to show him. He told me all about them. I’ve been fascinated with them ever since. Their head is so odd.
This is the one that makes those chirping sounds in the night? Or that’s a diff species?
Different. Those are crickets and sometimes tree frogs. These actually are not related to the cricket.
Michelle, how did you come upon this little guy…or girl? can a bug be cute? you betcha! great shot. g’nite gracie. continue…
It came upon me when it wandered inside.
Good morning/afternoon/evening Michelle 🙂 go on…
Yeah, all the above. I’ve been MIA from blogging past few days. Catching up.
Sometimes being MIA from blogging is good for the mind and the soul. 😀 go on…
Actually, it appears as though a lot of other people were MIA this weekend, too, so just as well.
Glad I’m behind in my reading. This image should be deep in my memory before I go to sleep tonight. 🙂
LOL… They are completely harmless to humans.
Man, that looks like one big ass bug!!!
They are a pretty decent size. But harmless.
